Eric Liddell Centre
Elder Homes are proud to be able to support the Eric Liddell centre. This includes helping those living with dementia and their families to be able to access essential day care and support to enable people to live at home, better and for longer, prior to coming into a more residential setting.
Work Experience Placements
Elder Homes Ltd are committed to supporting the adults of tomorrow. We have had very successful work experience placements with local schools and are currently working with City of Edinburgh council to see if these can be carried out remotely. Chamberlain have also had great sessions hosting nursery school pupils from a local nursery.
As the Covid-19 pandemic has prevented these direct interaction initiatives, we have been able to sponsor some local youth work, as well as community support for older people, to ensure the link between older and younger people remains.
School of Dance
We are pleased to be supporting Angela Watson School of Dance, a local dance school attended by one of our staff’s children. Not only helping them to keep fit, but also helping expressing creativity.
Porty CFA 2007s (Portobello Community Football Academy)
We are also investing in the John Robertson’s and Craig Gordon’s of the future via Portobello CFA 2007’s, where one of our staff’s son plays as a goal keeper.
