60 second Interview with Keith Robertson
This is the first in a series of 60 second interviews with various people at Elder Homes. This time the featured person is Keith Robertson who has worked for Elder Homes for over 8 years as a Registered Nurse. Prior to this Keith worked for Elder Homes as a carer before doing his nurse training in Edinburgh:
- Why did you return to work at Elder Homes after your Training? `I feel that the standards of care have always been high and and that there is a good continuity of staff`
- What do you like about looking after the client group here at Elder Homes? `I have always enjoyed looking after people on a longer term basis but have never really put it into words before. The ability to build up relationships with people and find out their history would be 2 of the reasons`
- Are you enjoying your new role as Unit Manager in Balmoral unit at Elder Homes? `Yes. It was good timing for me personally and I feel a positive, natural progression in my career.
- When not at work, what do you enjoy doing? `I enjoy speanding time with my family. My son Alfie and I enjoy watching football and I support him when he plays`
