60 second interview with Emma Watt
This is the second in a series of short articles to help you get to know our staff better.
In this installment, we speak to Emma Watt who joined us 7 weeks ago as a Staff Nurse on Argyll Unit. Emma has recently qualified as a nurse after working in care for 9 years.
What made you want to train to be a nurse? `I have been a carer since I was 16 and felt I wanted to learn more so I could give more to the residents I look after`
How are you finding life on Argyll Unit? `I have been very well supported and am learning a lot. The standards are high at Elder Homes and it is good that the trained staff are so involved in the care of each resident`.
Finally, what are you hoping to learn over the next year or so? `I would like to learn as much as possible, particularly with my clinical skills, I would also like to train to take bloods.
I`m sure you will join with us to welcome Emma to the team and wish her well.
