Chamberlain’s Platinum Jubilee Street Party!
Hooray, hooray! was the cheer for the afternoon, as residents and staff of Chamberlain celebrated her Majesty`s Jubilee in the most traditional of ways, with a fabulous street party. Although we where in doors as the Scottish weather was not very fair and a little chilly for the residents, neither the less we decorated the dining room with balloons , bunting and lots of flags. Our chef Paolo prepared so many delicious treats , such as individual Victoria sponges with little flags on top- of course! Coronation chicken, sausage rolls and so many more tradional favourits. The entertainment for the afternoons party was courtesy of not only a wonderful singer but an old friend to the residents of both Chamberlain and Cluny Lodge, Liz MacEwan. And the rest was up to us to dance, cheer and laugh, and there was lots of laughter as we all enjoyed a fun filled afternoon.
