Donut Day
Yes! There really is such a thing. In fact the literal translation of this day from Polish is "Greasy Thursday" however `Donut Day" sounds so much better!
According to our knowledgeable chefs, this is the Polish equivalent of Pancake Day` to mark the start of the fasting period before Easter.
Not sure about the fasting bit but the donuts are amazing!
