Forth Crossing Opening
Although many of you may have seen this on TV and in the papers, how many can say they were there at the grand opening of the Forth Crossing? Mrs Kirkpatrick, one of the ladies living at Chamberlain can!
Mrs Kirkpatrick, along with some of her family, were cordially invited to this wonderful occasion. This was organised by the Manager of Chamberlain as Mrs Kirkpatrick was at the opening of the original Forth Road Bridge, along with her husband who helped to construct this.
Mrs Kirkpatrick said it had been a wonderful occasion and she had been very close to the Queen. As well as the memory of the day, all present were given some mementoes - much treasured and will be a reminder of a truly special day.
