Merry Christmas !
The Christmas celebrations began, as always in earnest with both Cluny Lodge and Chamberlain being decorated within a inch of their lifes, adorned with no less 10 Christmas trees between them; and thats only a few in comparison to past years. To make up for the lack of trees as if 10 were not enough, garlands and lights sparked the walls and ceilings, and it has to be said they looked as spectacular as ever, thanks to the very talented Bogdan Amaicei who just happens to also be our gardener.
Throughtout the days carols echoed throughout the houses, residents enjoyed mulled wine and mince pies and for the residents of Cluny we dressed in our finery and danced and sang our way through Christmas parties with entertainment from our very own Primo; what fun we had! The residents of Chamberlain are going to have their Christmas party in the New Year. Christmas day itself went like a fair as always. The day began with us coming together for a sherry party and opening presents some in their own rooms with family others with staff and fellow residents. All of this was followed by a wonderful traditional lunch prepared by our very own chefs and served by a staff.
