Norovirus Update
Sadly the weekend has not brought us any respite from symptoms of the virus and several new cases have been reported on Argyll with a few more staff members also involved. Balmoral remains clear and some residents went on an outing on the minibus today. Visitors are asked to wear protective disposable gloves and aprons on entering a residents room and to remove them in the rooms ensuite, place in the bin in the ensuite and wash hands throughly before leaving the room.
The hairdresser came on Saturday and opened the salon to the Balmoral residents and Balmoral residents were able to come together in a lounge if they wished to yesterday for the Rememberence Day Ceremony which is so important. The physios plan to have their usual group session tomorrow for the Balmoral residents only.
We remain in the situation of waiting for a full 72 hours symptom free and the deep cleaning of the affected rooms is ongoing. The nature of any virus is unpredictable and we have no way of knowing how long this will continue. We remain in daily contact with Public Health.
