Palliative Care Training at Elder Care Homes Edinburgh
As part of our on-going commitment to support residents, relatives and staff, we were delighted to welcome Liz Barker from Marie Curie to speak to staff today. This was a really informative session that also enabled staff to discuss this vital yet, potentially difficult area of care.
Palliative care involves the person nearing the end of their life but also their loved ones and the staff supporting them. Marie Curie help staff at many Care Homes to support people at this, often difficult time and we are very grateful for their input at both Cluny Lodge and Chamberlain House. Also their provision of these teaching packs for staff to continue their good work.
