Promoting Continence - Everyone's business
As part of our on-going development and focus to enhance our resident`s lives as much as possible, our Education co-ordinator Cheryl Henderson attended a course run by the Care Inspectorate today.
The venue was Dunblane Hydro and the subject was a really important, but not discussed one, of Promoting Continence. This is a huge issue to many people, yet embarassing so does not get discussed.
The meeting was really well attended by 300 people from across Scotland and covered a wide range of subjects. The sessions were also filmed and can be accessed via www.careinspectorate.com or YouTube.
Cheryl will be running teaching sessions for staff, which relatives and residents can attend. This will include a leaflet produced by the Care Inspectorate, which is also available via Cheryl if you are interested to learn more. c.henderson@elder-homes.co.uk
