Speaking to the future of nursing!
Elder Homes were asked to speak to the future of nursing - a group of 40 student nurses from the University of
Edinburgh. This was a great opportunity to share the importance and diversity of working in a care home setting.
Along with Cheryl Henderson, Zheyu Zhao, a master’s social work student currently on placement within Elder Homes, spoke to the group. Zhao spoke about his student experience and the similarities this nursing group may encounter compared to his own experience.
Both Cheryl and Zhao were encouraging all present to be open about placement or even work in the care sector in future years! As we say – very much the future of nursing.
