Team Leader at Chamberlain House, Care Home Edinburgh
This is Kasia who has been with Elder Homes for 5 1/2 years. Kasia is one of our new Team Leaders and has recently completed her Medication Administration training.
The role of Team Leader includes guiding and supporting newer staff, writing notes and organising sections of the team on shift. A demanding role but one that our new Team Leaders have taken to really well.
In turn, the team leaders are supported by managers and have recently suucessfully completed the Supporting Better Care course with RCN (Royal College of Nursing)
Several of our Team Leaders, including Kasia, have been trained as instructors for Moving and Handling. This is a vital role and one that Elder Homes feel is important as it means instruction can continue throughout the day, rather than just one training session.
