Training at Care Homes Conference
Elder Homes were very pleased to be selected to be part of a small group of care homes, working with Jo Hockley OBE, as part of a larger project. The bigger vision is to see a Training and Research Based Care Home built, that would help develop care giving and give various health care proffessionals an insight into care home work.
Meanwhile, this small group of 6 care homes from various areas in the Lothians, are working together to develop some of these ideas. The conference today helped many staff from care homes all over Scotland, to see what work is happening in other homes, and what is new in the area of supporting older people.
The subjects were wide ranging and interesting, as was the chance to chat to other carers and nurses all doing this important work.
