Visit from Japanese heath care professionals
We were delighted to welcome a delegation of 20 health care professionals from Japan to Elder Homes today.
We had been approached by Kuoni travel to ask if we would host this group as part of their tour of the UK to see how health care varies here, particularly in dementia care.
We had an interesting discussion with questions and answers, buffet and guided tour of the home - with conversations with residents who had wanted to meet the delegates.
The group had one interpreter who was a GP in Leeds and one who was the tour guide. They were very complementry about the welcome they recieved and keen to take some of the inivative ideas from Scotland back to Japan.
