Whisky tasting with a real expert
We were delighted to be joined by Charlie and Lachlan MacLean for a wonderful evening of whisky tasting and Scottish entertainment as Lachlan played the accordion prior to Charlie speaking about whisky.
This was such a treat for the many whisky connoisseurs at Elder Homes. Not only the chance to sample different whisky but to hear all about them from someone who really does know all there is to know about whisky! Charlie MacLean is both Master of the Quaich and Keeper of the Quaich both the highest honours in the whisky world.
Amongst those sampled were. Bowmore Black Rock, Glen Turner and Glenmorangie - all of which went down a treat, particularly with all the additional knowledge. These were accompanied by a spread of fine Scottish fayre, laid on by the chefs at Elder Homes.
