Cluny Lodge Care Home

Your care home from home

Before becoming cluny lodge care home, the building we currently occupy used to be home to st hilary’s school for girls. Indeed many of our current residents are former pupils and teachers of st hilary’s and still remember life here whilst at the school.

Cluny lodge care home is the larger of elder homes’ two edinburgh care homes with 65 bespoke bedrooms all tastefully decorated. We have a large welcoming entrance foyer with seating where some of our residents watch many an hour go by in this busy hub of activity.

Cluny lodge has a friendly street style café area called cluny walk where staff and residents meet up for a chat with each other. Staff will often join the residents and their families here for a well-earned cuppa. This is also where our on-site hairdresser is located so waiting for your hair appointment is an event in itself.

Cluny lodge also has several large public areas including a large bright conservatory and three well appointed lounges, which we use for social and leisure events such as the daily morning exercise class with our in-house physiotherapy team, parties, baking, arts & crafts, poetry reading, storytelling and quizzes, to name but a few. Outside we have a beautiful garden and paved outdoor courtyard with a gazebo which our resident’s gardening club designed, planted and put to good use during the summer months!
